3 days ago was Saturday, October 3, 2026. Short look-backs like this come up constantly, and the weekend makes them easy to get wrong: on a Monday, “3 days ago” was Friday, the last working day.

Where a 3-day look-back matters

• Pending card charges. Card transactions usually move from pending to posted within one to three business days. A charge from 3 days ago that is still pending is normal. One from a week ago is worth asking your bank about.
• Timestamps. Social media, email and news sites often say “3 days ago” instead of a date. This page tells you exactly which date that was.
• 72-hour windows. Anything with a 72-hour limit, such as some return-label or booking-change windows, expires about now if it started Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Counting back over a weekend
